WONDERFUL AND UNIQUE CELEBRATION OF BANANA FESTIVAL (BACO, ORIENTAL MINDORO PHILIPPINES)

We all know that every place in different countries represent their own traditions and cultures by doing festival, like in the City of Baco found in Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. They celebrate an annual harvest of delicious Banana such as Saba, Lacatan, Latundan, Seniorita, Initlog, Bangalan, and etc., and they called this celebrations Banana Festival.

This festival happens every 18th and 19th day of March, they do different activities like float parade that every barangay joined and this floats are made of banana, the other one is street dancing that also joined by every barangay in Baco and this is compose of colorful costumes & props, and wonderful choreography. In this event also features a cook fest where the visitors are competing to create the best banana meal and beauty pageant where the ladies are battling for the title of this festival.

This event is paying tribute to the good harvest of Banana. The people in this place are encouraging tourist to join and experience the hospitality and creative manner of this festival. So if you will join in this event you won’t forget and regret the time you let and experience you will get.
